Amish Amnesia by Asley Emma

Please remember all Amish communities have different customs and rules, and no two are the same.

Some of these people’s experiences in the videos might be quite different than what you are familiar with. While most Amish communities are filled with wonderful, kind-hearted people, some communities are have very harsh, strict, rigid rules. In all of the interviews, I hope you see how much we do admire and respect the Amish. One common thread that I have seen in all the people I know who grew up Amish is they all agree that the Amish have strong family values, and in these videos we also hear many funny, sweet stories. Enjoy the videos!

This is part 2 of my series of me interviewing people who grew up Amish. Nathan grew up Amish and left, but still communicates with his family. He didn’t agree with many of his communities legalistic and strict rules, but did cherish the family values.

VIDEO #3. Ex-Amish Interviews with Ashley Emma, part 3 – Brian

Brian wasn’t born Amish. Instead, he joined the Amish when he was a teenager, which is quite rare. Several years later he left because that particular had rules that were not biblical and that he did not agree with. This community he grew up in is very different than most Amish communities.
